Triphala™ is a natural traditional botanical formula used to help support good digestion and general health. Triphala is also used traditionally to ameliorate stomach problems. Ingredients: Emblica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, and Terminalia belerica. Indications: Supports Balance, digestion and general health. Packaging/Size: 90 Tablets The composition of triphala consists of three fruits, Amla (Emblica officinalis) , Harde or Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), and bibitaki (Terminalia belerica). Amla is one of the richest source of vitamin C and is used traditionally for stomach conditions and general enhancing of the immune system. Harde contains B-complex vitamins that protects the lungs. Bibitaki is a rich source of vitamin A and has a property of being astringent and laxative. Triphala is used traditionally to restore and balance body functions. Besides these benefits triphala is also used traditionally to ameliorate stomach problems. Emblica officinalis (Amla) Amla (Emblica officinalis) is the edible fruit from a small tree native to India. As with Terminalia chebula, EO has been shown to increase gastric emptying and to possess a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against a number of test bacteria. Terminalia chebula (Harde) Tibetans so revere Harde that the fruit is depicted in the hand of the "Medicine Buddha" in sacred paintings.
