Each daily dose contains 1000mg of Vitamin C, comprising of:

854 mg Calcium Ascorbate (which supplies 700mg buffered water soluble Vitamin C,) and
698 mg Ascorbyl Palmitate (which supplies 300mg fat soluble Vitamin C).

Ascorbyl Palmitate (also known as 6-Palmitoyl-L-Ascorbic Acid; Vitamin C Ester) is a fat-soluble ester form of Vitamin C that consists of 42.8% Ascorbic Acid bound to 57.2% Palmitic Acid. Ascorbyl Palmitate is retained within the body for a longer period of time than water-soluble forms of Vitamin C.

Ascorbyl Palmitate, being fat soluble, protects the vital fatty components of the body such as nerve linings and cell membranes from free radical oxidative damage. This does not occur with conventional vitamin C supplements, which contain only the acidic, water soluble, ascorbic acid form of vitamin C.

Calcium Ascorbate is a buffered (non-acidic) water soluble form of Vitamin C. It consists of 82% Ascorbic Acid bound to 18% Calcium. This form of Vitamin C minimizes the gastrointestinal discomfort (acidic irritation) that sometimes occurs in people who use pure Ascorbic Acid.

Natural vs. Synthetic Vitamin C

There is no evidence that so-called "natural" Vitamin C is a better form than synthetic Vitamin C. Synthetic Vitamin C is equally effective for therapeutic purposes and those formulations of supplemental Vitamin C that claim to be "natural" usually only contain a minimal amount of Vitamin C derived from plant sources with the remainder being synthetic.

Supplemental Vitamin C should ideally be taken at four hour intervals as the body excretes most ingested Vitamin C within four hours after ingestion (although some is stored within various organs).
