Product Information Also known as: ARGH-4405; Cavinton; Ceractin; Ethyl Apovincaminate; Vincaton; Vincanton
Vinpocetine is a type of Smart Drug that is derived from the Seeds of the Common Periwinkle (Vinca major) plant. It has a specific effect on chemical reactions that go on inside cells, i.e. they invigorate the brain and make it work normally. Vincopectine allows the brain to make better use of oxygen and energy. The ability of the brain to withstand a lack of oxygen is also improved. Vincopectine is able to intensify and selectively increase blood supply to the brain. It is also a powerful memory enhancer and allows the brain to make better use of oxygen and energy.
Health Benefits of Vinpocetine
Aging Process
Vinpocetine significantly decreases the decline in the release of Dopamine that normally occurs in tandem with the progression of the Aging Process.
Cardiovascular System
Vinpocetine improves Blood Circulation to the Brain and thereby prevents and alleviates Cerebral Insufficiency. Vinpocetine dilates Blood Vessels throughout the body, including those in the Brain. Vinpocetine (10 mg per day) improves the flexibility of Red Blood Cells and may thereby help to prevent Strokes (a reduction in the flexibility of Red Blood Cells is associated with an increased risk of Stroke).
Digestive System
Vinpocetine inhibits the irritation and Inflammation of the Stomach (Alcohol-induced Gastric lesions) caused by excessive Alcohol intake. Ears/Hearing
Vinpocetine improves impaired Hearing (Deafness) in many cases (e.g. in some cases of sudden hearing loss): Vinpocetine is an effective treatment for many cases of Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Vinpocetine improves many Inner Ear problems (by improving Blood Circulation to the Inner Ear). Vinpocetine alleviates the symptoms of Meniere’s Disease. Vinpocetine alleviates Tinnitus.
Vinpocetine alleviates Vertigo (dizziness) in 77% of patients.
Eyes/Vision
Vinpocetine improves the condition of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) patients (primarily by improving Blood Circulation to the Eyes) and also helps to prevent ARMD. Vinpocetine improves Blood Circulation to the Eyes (especially to the Retina and Macula regions). Vinpocetine helps to stabilize the condition of Glaucoma patients. Vinpocetine improves Sight in many people afflicted with Eyesight Disorders (especially where impaired Sight occurs as a result of sub-optimal Blood Circulation to the Eyes). Vinpocetine may also improve night vision. Metabolism
Vinpocetine prolongs survival during periods of Anoxia (i.e. during the total absence of Oxygen). Vinpocetine possesses Antioxidant properties (it is comparable to Vitamin E in terms of its Antioxidant potential):
- Vinpocetine deactivates Hydroxyl Free Radicals.
Vinpocetine alleviates Fatigue (where the underlying cause of Fatigue is Cerebral Insufficiency). Vinpocetine counteracts the toxic effects of Ischemia on Neurons.
Nervous System
Vinpocetine increases Alertness (by improving Glucose and Oxygen utilization in the Brain). Vinpocetine improves Brain function in Alzheimer ’s disease patients. Vinpocetine helps to prevent Amnesia (by improving Blood Circulation and Oxygen delivery to the Brain). Vinpocetine reduces Anxiety (where Anxiety is caused by Cerebral Insufficiency). Vinpocetine improves Blood Circulation within the Brain (i.e. it alleviates Cerebral Insufficiency by selectively dilating the Arteries of the Brain (the Cerebral Arteries)) and alleviates many of the side effects (especially Mental Function) of people affected by Cerebral Insufficiency.
- Vinpocetine increases the production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) within the Brain's Neurons, resulting in improved Brain Energy production.
Vinpocetine improves the function of the Noradrenergic Neurons located in the Brain Stem. Vinpocetine reduces Confusion (especially in people affected by Cerebral Insufficiency). Vinpocetine prevents and treats Multiple Infarct Dementia.
Vinpocetine (10 mg per day) alleviates Depression in 74% of cases (especially where the underlying cause of Depression is Dementia or Cerebral Insufficiency). Vinpocetine reduces excessive Fear (where excessive Fear is caused by Cerebral Insufficiency). Vinpocetine alleviates Headaches in 78% of patients.
Vinpocetine enhances the function of the Hippocampus:
- Vinpocetine enhances the function of the Dentate Gyrus region of the Hippocampus.
Vinpocetine improves the Brain's utilization of Oxygen and increases the resistance of Neurons to the damage that would otherwise be caused by Hypoxia (i.e. it increases the Brain’s tolerance to Hypoxia and promotes Oxygen transport into Brain tissue). Vinpocetine accelerates the rate of Learning by up to 40%.
Vinpocetine improves the function of and increases the activity of the Noradrenergic Neurons located in the Locus Coeruleus (a region within the Brain Stem). Vinpocetine improves Memory in normal, healthy people:
- Healthy subjects exhibit significant Short-Term Memory improvement in as little as one hour after taking 40 mg of Vinpocetine. - Vinpocetine increases the length of time that Short-Term-Memory is retained. - Vinpocetine blocks the action of other drugs that disrupt Memory.
- Vinpocetine improves Long-Term Memory.
Vinpocetine protects Neurons from damage and may reverse some aspects of Neuron damage (due to the Antioxidant properties of Vinpocetine).
- Vinpocetine counteracts the toxic effects of Ischemia on Neurons.
Vinpocetine alleviates Speech Impairment in 55% of cases. Vinpocetine prevents and treats Stroke (by improving the Brain’s use of Oxygen). Vinpocetine (20 - 40 mg per day for short-term use only) alleviates Vertigo in some people.
Sleep Disorders
Vinpocetine alleviates several types of Sleep disorders: Vinpocetine alleviates Insomnia (in approximately 70% of cases).
Sexual System (female)
The side effects of Female Menopause respond well to Vinpocetine.
Vinpocetine Enhances the Function of these Substances
Carbohydrates
Vinpocetine increases the Brain’s utilization of Glucose:
- Vinpocetine shifts Glucose metabolism towards the more favorable aerobic pathway.
Vinpocetine protects Hyaluronic Acid from damage (due to the Antioxidant effects of Vinpocetine).
Elements
Vinpocetine enhances the Brain’s utilization of Oxygen.
Neurotransmitters
Vinpocetine significantly decreases the decline in the release of Dopamine that normally occurs in tandem with the progression of the Aging Process. Vinpocetine increases the Brain's turnover of Norepinephrine Vinpocetine increases the Brain's turnover of Serotonin.
Nucleic Compounds
Vinpocetine increases the Brain’s production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP).
Proteins
Vinpocetine (15 mg per day) enhances the release of Oxygen from Hemoglobin.
Vinpocetine Counteracts these Potentially Toxic Substances
Amino Acids Vinpocetine helps to prevent damage to Neurons caused by exposure to excessive levels of Glutamic Acid (due to the Antioxidant properties of Vinpocetine).
