Dosage Recommendations
The usual therapeutic dosage of unstandardized Gymnema sylvestre is 5,000 mg (5 grams) per day. When capsules containing Gymnema sylvestre standardized to contain 24% Gymnemic Acids are used for the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus, the recommended dose is 600 - 1,200 mg per day (supplying 144 - 288 mg of Gymnemic Acids per day).
Some researchers recommend a lower dosage of Gymnema sylvestre of 400 - 600 mg per day for the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus.
