Product Information
A combination of: Calcium Glycinate enhances the function of the Adrenal Glands. 98% of the bodys Calcium is concentrated in the Bones and Calcium is involved in the formation and growth of the Bones and may prevent pre-cancerous Cells from becoming cancerous. Calcium is helpful in the treatment of some post-Menopause problems. Tooth Decay can occur as a result of Calcium deficiency.
Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of Calcium, decreases its excretion from the Kidneys, stimulates the re-absorption of Calcium from the Bones and helps to maintain normal blood Calcium levels. Vitamin D3 activates Osteoblasts and helps to prevent Osteoporosis. Can cause many forms of Cancer Cells to differentiate into normal Cells, especially effective for causing Breast Cancer Cells to differentiate into normal Cells. Inhibits the proliferation of Liver Cancer and Melanoma cells, effective for causing Prostate Cancer Cells to differentiate into normal Cells and also retards the increase in Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) in Prostate Cancer patients. Alcohol can cause a deficiency of Vitamin D3
Description
Calcium Bisglycinate (also known as Calcium bis-Glycinate) consists of Calcium bound to Glycine. It presently regarded as the most bioavailable and most soluble form of supplemental Calcium. It is 1.8 times (180%) better absorbed than Calcium Citrate and is 21% better absorbed than Calcium Citrate Malate. It is 205 times more soluble than Calcium Citrate.
Research
Falloon, W. Calcium: Keep what you take. Life Extension. 5(3):10-14, 1999.The author provides evidence that calcium bisglycinate is 1.8 times (180%) better absorbed compared to calcium citrate and is 21% better absorbed compared to calcium citrate malate. It is believed to be 205 times more soluble than calcium citrate. Calcium with added Vitamin D superior absorbtion
Increased Need for Vitamin D
It is known that vitamin D is required for optimum absorption of calcium. However, a new study calls into question the normal range of blood levels of vitamin D suggesting the lower end does not provide enough vitamin D to enhance calcium uptake. Women were given a vitamin D supplement followed by a standard calcium pill. A year later, the same women were tested again without the vitamin D. Absorption of calcium was 65 percent higher when it followed vitamin D supplementation. This was found despite all the women having normal blood levels of vitamin D at both times. The study was published in the April 2003 edition of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition.
Here’s what you need to know
The authors conclude that the lower end of the normal range for vitamin D is set too low. This study is the sort that will probably affect setting of normal intakes of vitamin D the next time this nutrient is assessed by a panel of scientists. Milk, fatty fish and exposure to sunshine (vitamin D is made in the skin) are the best ways of getting vitamin D. Lesser amounts are obtained from eggs, butter, liver, fortified cereals, and some margarines.
