Description

Cetyl Myristoleate is a type of Wax with valuable therapeutic properties it is composed of (and artificially synthesized using) Cetyl Alcohol and Myristoleic Acid. CMO is therefore an ester of Cetyl Alcohol and Myristoleic Acid.

Bioavailability

Oral

Following its oral administration, CMO is absorbed via the Intestines and transported to the Liver for storage. It ultimately migrates to and attaches to Cells of the Joints.

Topical

CMO is also absorbed through the Skin when applied topically (via CMO cream using Liposomes as a carrier vehicle).

Dosage Recommendations

The usual recommended dosage of CMO for the treatment of Arthritis is 1,500 mg per day for the first three days of treatment, followed by 600 mg per day for the following 28 days some people require CMO booster treatment at regular intervals to prevent the reoccurrence of Arthritis. When used for the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis, supplemental CMO usually needs to be taken for only 17 31 days, with an occasional booster treatment (in some people, one month of CMO therapy has resulted in semi-permanent CURE of Rheumatoid Arthritis) it is noteworthy that CMO is the only therapy for Rheumatoid Arthritis that has (to-date) resulted in semi-permanent cure of Rheumatoid Arthritis in some people without the requirement for lifelong treatment.

Considerations in Purchasing CMO Supplements

Vegetable Source vs. Animal Source

The manufacturers of some CMO products claim that their CMO is derived from vegetable sources. This claim is dubious as there are (presently) no known vegetable sources of Myristoleic Acid (a necessary precursor material for the synthesis of CMO).

Laboratory analysis of some CMO products that are claimed to be of vegetable sources have shown that contain Cetyl Myristate (which differs from CMO in that it is from the Saturated Fatty Acid, Myristic Acid). Myristic Acid is present in some vegetable sources but its cetyl ester does not possess any anti-arthritic activity.

Authentic CMO is usually manufactured from the Myristoleic Acid content of bovine (cattle) sources.
