Product Information Growth hormone mitigates, and may even reverse many of the major effects of aging, such as muscle weakness, excess body fat deposits, poor skin and hair quality, energy depletion, diminished sex drive, and declining immune function. Growth Hormone stimulates the growth of organs that shrink with age - the heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, thymus, and thyroid. HGH stimulates production of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF) which helps to optimise communication between the immune, nervous, and hormonal systems. Growth Hormone is responsible for tissue regeneration and youthful appearance. The aging pituitary produces adequate growth hormone, but its release from the somatotroph cells is reduced with age. Conversely, somatostatin, an inhibitor of growth hormone release, increases with age resulting in sub-optimal levels of growth-hormone from about the age of 40. HGH Advanced Secretagogue represents the latest research into Growth Hormone secretagogues (precursors and growth hormone releasing stimulants). Research shows that the secretaogogues contained in hGH-Advanced stimulate the anterior pituitary gland to release stored growth hormone. Furthermore, only hGH-advanced works in four ways to elevate growth hormone levels by: directly stimulating GH release, inhibiting somatostatin, enhancing the sensitivity of the pituitary to Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) and increasing the secretion of GHRH.
The first Amino Acid based growth hormone secretagogue manufactured in South Africa and specially formulated by an independent researcher, based in the USA specialising in growth hormone release and in cooperation with a South African Pharmacist registered with the SA Pharmacy Council and The Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa.
Human Growth Hormone (hGH) is produced by the pituitary gland inside the brain before being converted to insulin like growth factor (IGF-1) hormone by the liver. IGF-1 affects almost every cell in the body helping to restore skin, bones, lungs, liver, heart and kidneys to their optimal condition. The amino acids contained in our formula have been demonstrated to naturally produce a large burst of HGH following oral administration.
One of the major benefits of amino acid therapy is that it stimulates the pituitary gland naturally, thereby causing the secretion of growth hormone in the normal pulsating manner throughout the day and night. hGH is the ultimate anti-aging therapy. It affects almost every cell in the body, rejuvenating the skin and bones, regenerating the heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys, bringing organ and tissue function back to youthful levels. It is an anti-disease medicine that revitalizes the immune system, lowers the risk factors for heart attack and stroke, improves oxygen uptake in emphysema patients, and prevents osteoporosis It is the most effective anti-obesity drug ever discovered, revving up the metabolism to youthful levels, re-sculpting the body by selectively reducing the fat in the waist, abdomen, hips, and thighs, and at the same time increasing muscle mass. It may be the most powerful aphrodisiac ever discovered, reviving flagging sexuality and potency in older men. It is cosmetic surgery in a container, smoothing out facial wrinkles; restoring the elasticity, thickness, and contours of youthful skin; reversing the loss of extra-cellular water that makes old people look like dried-up prunes. It has healing powers that close ulcerated wounds and re-grow burned skin. It is the secret ingredient in the age-defying bodies of weight lifters and it enhances exercise performance, allowing you to do higher-intensity workouts of longer duration. It reverses the insomnia of later life, restoring the "slow wave" or deepest level of sleep. And it is a mood elevator, lifting the spirits along with the body, bringing back a zest for life that many people thought was lost forever. (Ronald Klatz, Dr, Grow Young with HGH; 1997; Chapter 1: Page 8-9, Published by Harper Collins Publishers Inc.).The list of benefits (of hGH) seems to grow with each new study. These* include:• 8.8 percent increase in muscle mass on average after six months, without exercise • 14.4 percent loss of fat on average after six months, without dieting. • Higher energy level • Enhanced sexual performance • Re-growth of heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, and other organs that shrink with age • Greater cardiac output • Superior immune function • Increased exercise performance • Better kidney function • Lowered blood pressure • Improved cholesterol profile, with higher HDL and lower LDL • Stronger bones • Faster wound healing • Younger, tighter, thicker skin • Hair re-growth • Wrinkle removal • Elimination of cellulite • Sharper vision • Mood elevation • Increased memory retention • Improved sleep

In order for these natural substances to effectively increase growth hormone levels, hGH Secretagogue must be consumed in a specific manner. It is important to take hGH Secretagogue when the body would naturally be inclined to release growth hormone - on an empty stomach between meals, an hour before strenuous exercise, and for best results, prior to bedtime. Our formula consists of natural ingredients - amino acids, vitamins, anti oxidants - which are effective, simple and direct hGH secretagogues.
hGH Decline with Age
Total daily hGH secretion declines with age so that “elderly” levels are reached by age 35-40. The hGH levels decline from age 31 by about 14% per decade. – Journal of NIH Research, April 1995
Many nutrients have been shown to increase hGH in both young and old subjects. Most of these are amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. Their advantages are that they are safe, well tolerated, affordable and available without a prescription. (Ronald Klatz, Dr, Ten Weeks to a Younger You 1999; Chapter 4: Page 63-64, Published by Sports Tech Labs Inc.).
Dr Ronald Klatz, President of the American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine, uses an amino acid secretagogue daily as part of his personal anti aging regime. He also includes Antioxidants, Vitamins, Minerals and Hormones including DHEA and Melatonin. He advocates exercising drinking good quality water, a good diet and rest.
The science behind Solal Africa Technologies hGH Secretagogue is the use of hGH releasers or agonists, ingredients that bring about the release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Research has shown that several nutrients, if taken in the proper ratio, have the ability to naturally stimulate the pituitary gland to release growth hormone - these substances are called 'secretagogues'. By using these agonists, you are able to induce your pituitary to secrete extra hGH and then accentuate them to full potential with a proper diet and hGH-releasing exercises.
Twenty amino acids form the building blocks of all proteins and are needed for the body to make the proteins of enzymes, many hormones, muscle, bone, skin, organs, etc. A number of these amino acids have been shown to induce growth hormone secretion — and Solal Africa Technologies hGH Secretagogue stacks them in such a way that maximizes their benefits. The following is a list of the amino acids; antioxidants and vitamins contained in Solal Africa Technologies hGH Secretagogue and their anti-aging benefits.
AMINO ACIDS:
L-Arginine Pyroglutamate This is an essential amino acid (and one that must come from the diet because your body cannot create it itself). Arginine has been shown to increase your secretion of growth hormone by blocking the effect of Somatostatin. Somatostatin inhibits the release of growth hormone. (Alba-Roth J, Muller OA, Schopohl J et al. Arginine stimulates growth hormone secretion by suppressing endogenous somatostatin secretion. Journal of Clinical Endocrinol. Metab. 1998; 67:1186-89). Researchers believe that Arginine Pyroglutamate works by virtue of the Pyroglutamate rather than the Arginine. Arginine also helps to improve exercise performance because it is one of the main ingredients along with Glycine that the liver uses to make creatine. Positive claims for Arginine include increasing fat burning and building muscle tissue probably through the stimulation of growth hormone, increasing the weight and activity of the thymus gland, boosting immunity, fighting cancer, promoting healing of burns and other wounds, protecting the liver and detoxifying harmful substances, and enhancing male fertility (almost all of which are enhanced by GH). It also restores sexual function in impotent men. (Zorgniotti A.W. and Lizza E.F, Effects of large doses of the nitric oxide precursor, L-Arginine, on erectile dysfunction. Int J Impot Res 1994; Mar; 6(1); 33-35). The researchers at the department of urology/surgery at New York University School of Medicine, believe that Arginine worked because it is a precursor of nitric oxide, which plays a key role in initiating and maintaining an erection.
L-Glutamine This is the most abundant amino acid in your body and stimulates the release of growth hormone. Glutamine is the amino acid that is most used by the body, particularly during times of stress. The immune system and the gut practically live on glutamine. If the body does not produce enough glutamine, muscle loss and immune dysfunction can occur.
In a 1995 Study by Thomas C. Welbourne of Louisiana State University College of Medicine in Shreveport. Welbourne showed that a surprisingly small oral dose of about 2 grams of glutamine raised growth hormone levels more than four times over that of a placebo. (Welbourne T. Increased plasma bicarbonate and growth hormone after oral Glutamine load. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. 1995; 61:1058-61). Researchers believe that glutamine will increase the concentration of glutamate at the hypothalamus and thereby stimulate the hypothalamus to secrete Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH), which stimulates the pituitary to release growth hormone. They do not know of any other way to stimulate the hypothalamus to secrete GHRH. The neurons of the hypothalamus are largely glutaminergic, meaning that they use glutamate as their primary neurotransmitter. Increasing the concentration of glutamate should excite those neurons and cause them to produce GHRH.
Independent researchers hypothesise that when glutamine works by stimulating GH, as in the famous Welbourne experiment, it does so via its metabolite glutamate at the hypothalamus. In a foreword to the Growth Hormone Naturally: A Guide to GH-Releasing Nutrients and Drugs 207, book, Douglas Wilmore, M.D., of Harvard Medical School, points out that glutamine is a key to the metabolism and maintenance of muscle, the primary energy source for the immune system, and essential for DNA synthesis, cell division, and cell growth, all factors that are enhanced by GH. It also crosses the blood-brain barrier into the brain, where it increases energy and mental alertness.
High levels of glutamine in the blood translate into greater health as a 1994 study showed. In a survey of thirty-three people over the age of sixty, those at the top of the scale of blood glutamine levels had fewer illnesses, lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and were closer to their ideal weights than people at the bottom of the scale in this nutrient. The low-glutamine subjects had higher rates of arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease, while those who were high in glutamine said that they felt great.
L-Ornithine This is a non-essential amino acid (meaning the body can synthesize it from other food sources e.g. Arginine). This amino acid is chemically similar to Arginine and hence has a very similar effect on the body. According to the clinical trials by Pearson and Shaw (Life Extension, 1983), on a per gram basis, Ornithine is about double the effectiveness of Arginine for growth hormone release and is twice as expensive. It has also been shown to regenerate the liver in animals.
Glycine This is also a non-essential amino acid. Two studies have shown that this amino acid increases growth hormone in the serum by inducing the pituitary gland to secrete hGH. In one of these studies an oral dose of 250mg in normal volunteers also showed a significant rise in growth hormone. Glycine must be present with glutamate to stimulate glutaminergic neurons. Glycine has also been found useful in increasing output in exercise workouts.
VITAMINS AND ANTIOXIDANTS:
Niacinamide – (Flush Free Niacin) Flush free niacin is Niacinamide. Researchers believe that niacin alone may stimulate GH release by suppressing free fatty acids. Why is it essential? This B vitamin helps the body produce energy, utilize proteins, and regulate blood sugar (niacin is a component of glucose tolerance factor, the chromium-containing substance needed for insulin metabolism). Vitamin B-3 also plays a role in the formation of essential fatty acids, red blood, cells, and adrenal hormones. The body uses vitamin B-3, along with vitamin B-1 and vitamin B-2, to metabolize carbohydrates. It may have some antioxidant properties.
Grape Seed extract and Pine Bark extract - OPC’s These Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC’s) are 50 times more potent as antioxidants than equivalent amounts of Vitamins C and E. Antioxidant protection is critical for inclusion in this formula. The reason is two fold: 1) Antioxidants are for scavenging free radicals and are therefore one of most important primary anti-aging medicines. 2) Glycine can cause an increase in the production of free radicals - a by-product of the metabolic process. These will be neutralised by an antioxidant. What is critical here is that the antioxidant must have a great affinity for the brain & the nervous tissue particularly (rather than the blood, skin, liver). There is one group that is particularly good at this, the polyphenol subgroup called the proanthocyanidins. There are two types of proanthocyanidins; grape seed extract & pine bark extract. They both offer excellent free radical protection, and work synergistically. These last two are for the purpose of increasing the natural antioxidant glutathione, which could be crucial for protecting the nerves from any excess glutamate.
Pantothenic Acid and Pyridoxine These two B vitamin co-factors Pantothenic acid -Vitamin B5 and Pyridoxine -Vitamin B6 are included to help in the conversion process to hGH.
Methylcobalamin This ingredient is included to help protect the nervous system from the possibility of glutamate excitotoxicity, and to assist with improving sleeping patterns.
GH production is stimulated by sleep (release occurs about an hour and a half after you fall asleep, with none appearing if your sleep is restless or disturbed), aerobic exercise and fasting, and by specific amino acid supplementation. GH production is slowed down by insulin, which is produced more prolifically when sugar is eaten in any quantity - another reason for not eating much of this substance.
When can I anticipate noticing a difference? People's chemistries are unique to themselves. Some people experience results within 1 week, while others take 2 months. While most people will actually "feel" a difference, some people only notice outward changes. When hGH levels are increased, the anti-aging benefits are significant but are not always "felt".
Dosage/Directions Take 5 to 10 tablets at bedtime on an empty stomach, and at least 2 hours after last meal. If you plan to eat within 2 hours of going to bed, then it would be preferable to take 10 tablets 30-60 minutes before eating. It would be ideal to take on an empty stomach AND at bedtime. Do not exceed recommended doses.
Clinical Usage From 40 onwards or with low levels of DHEA (the body’s most abundant hormone) supplementation with DHEA (which converts to estrogen and testosterone) or 7KetoDHEA(which does not convert to estrogen or testosterone) would assist in the production of more hGH receptor sites on your cells and would make your body more sensitive to hGH. Women should take 25mg of DHEA while men should take 50mg of DHEA, daily – Use a DHEA brand with 9.6mg of Zinc for better absorption: e. g Solal Africa Technologies DHEA or 7 Keto DHEA exclusive to Solal Africa Technologies
Take a high potency daily vitamin, anti oxidant and mineral supplement so that the nutrients that the body needs to build cells and tissue are available. Make sure your Protein intake is adequate.
Storage Instructions: Store at room temperature. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.
Caution:
- No one with a history of herpes should take Arginine, as it encourages flare-ups of the condition. In this case all the supplementation should be with Ornithine, which has no such effect.
